It all started with a love of flavored popcorn - and a dream of bringing it to Boothbay Harbor. 🍿💜

Coastal Maine Popcorn Co. was founded in 2008 by husband-and-wife team Paul and Julie Roberts. Julie first fell in love with flavored popcorn while working a summer job in high school, and years later, with Paul by her side, that love of popcorn turned into a family business right here on the coast of Maine.

What began as a small popcorn shop in Boothbay Harbor has grown into something we could only have imagined when we started. Today, we handcraft 40+ flavors of gourmet popcorn, one small batch at a time, right here in Maine. Through our online store and growing network of wholesale partners, Coastal Maine Popcorn now makes its way from our little corner of the Maine coast to homes, gift shops, specialty stores, and businesses all across the country.

From longtime favorites like Maine Maple and White Cheddar to creative sweet, savory, and chocolate flavors, we love creating popcorn that’s just a little unexpected - and a whole lot of fun.

And over the years, we’ve become more than popcorn. Our shop is filled with treats, gifts, Maine favorites, and products from makers and brands we genuinely enjoy. We also create custom gifts for weddings, celebrations, and corporate events, offer fundraising opportunities for schools and organizations, and work with retailers through our wholesale program.

Through all of that growth, what matters most to us hasn’t changed. We believe in making a great product, treating people well, supporting our community, and doing business with integrity.

Nearly two decades after popping our first batch, we're incredibly grateful for every customer who walks through our Boothbay Harbor doors, orders from us online, carries our popcorn in their store, gives it as a gift, or simply tells a friend about us.
